Sheresa Jaramillo - Principal
As the principal of Valencia Elementary, Sheresa Jaramillo takes pride in her educational journey, which spans 16 years exclusively within the Los Lunas Schools, where she herself is a distinguished alumna. Graduating from the University of New Mexico with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Elementary Education, Mrs. Jaramillo furthered her academic pursuits, obtaining a Master’s of Arts Degree in Language, Literacy, and Sociocultural Studies from the same institution. Additionally, she holds an endorsement in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). Mrs. Jaramillo dedicated many years to the role of a teacher before transitioning into the position of Learning Innovations Coach, where she not only crafted and delivered district-wide Professional Development sessions, but also provided crucial support to fellow educators.
Her journey in educational leadership continued as she assumed the role of an assistant principal for nearly two years before taking on her current role as the principal of Valencia Elementary. She takes great pride in making meaningful contributions to the community where she has roots and presently calls home. Outside of her professional endeavors, she finds joy in relaxation, travel, and quality time with her husband and children.
